People often wonder why we have a tin full of babies mixed in with our sprinkles. Mardi Gras is just around the corner on February 13th, 2018, and in addition to decorating cakes with festive designs and bright purples, greens and yellows, we get many requests for a take on the New Orleans "King Cake.” A King Cake is traditionally a ring of sweet bread filled with cinnamon sugar and a hidden plastic baby inside. We're trying to stay warm by our ovens in this 15 degree weather, but our two little convection ovens are no match for this 100 year old house! 🌨️❄️⛄ .      The most popular cakes this time of year are our extra rich, decadent flavors that go great with a cup of coffee. We've been making a lot of Triple Chocolate Ganache cakes, Cherry Almond Cheesecake Amycakes, and Deluxe Carrot cakes with cinnamon buttercream. We just came up with our newest flavor:  Chocolate Turtle Cheesecake Amycake: 2 layers of chocolate cake, 2 layers of cheesecake, filled with ganache and pecan caramel. Yum!...
